About the Artist

Frances has a passion for integrating healing, intention, creativity and storytelling through her background as both an artist and social worker. She has taught various art mediums through her work at the Denver Art Museum, History Jackson Hole and National Museum of Wildlife Art. She has also facilitated behavioral health programming at Senior Center of Jackson Hole, Teton Behavior Therapy and Teton County Health Department.

As an artist, she enjoys creating art through mediums that have a heavy emphasis on process. Printmaking and ceramics share this trait. Both require multiple steps in the creation process that force you to slow down and think about your intention and actions. The process of ceramics mirrors that of processing emotion. It requires reflection, humility, intention, equanimity, grit, and letting go.
